TreeAZ

TreeAZ is a new method for categorizing trees for the purposes of site development. It is developed by Jeremy Barrell who created an earlier system called SULE.

TreeAZ uses similar principles to those found within BS5837 where categories and associated colours are used to place a tree in a particular class. TreeAZ has simplified the system by creating just two main categories being "A:Trees Worthy of Retention....."  and   "Z:Trees Not Worthy of Retention......".  These two categories are then subdivided further to give additional information regarding the trees placement within each category. It is hoped that TreeAZ  will remove much of the confusion that the BS5837 system can cause.

TreeAZ is an evolution of the SULE system and is still evolving now.   Feedback of the system can be made through a discussion forum on Jeremy Barrells web site.

TreeAZ is not subject to any copyright restrictions regarding its use.

Full explanatory notes and blank survey sheets can be downloaded free from Jeremy Barrells site as 'doc' word processor files (these are compressed as Zip files).
