Google Earth
Google Earth is a free program which is available to download on the web. It is essentially an aerial photographic viewing program which permits the user to zoom in/out on any location in the world. It is very easy to use and great fun to play with. Zoom in on your own house, a holiday location or potential work site. It is especially useful for practising arboriculturists who may wish to view a site prior to visiting to get an idea of site conditions, tree stock etc. I find it useful for this purpose and have also used it to produce a survey quotation where I could then get a rough idea of tree numbers from the aerial photographs.

site. As you can see the detail is very good and very useful.
